Pamela Marie Pierce, age 59, of Lovilia, IA, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Mahaska Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa, IA.

Pam was born on October 28, 1962 at the Albia Hospital to Lee and Mary (Summers) Smith. She grew up attending school in Albia. On May 31, 1985, she was united in marriage to Richard P. Pierce in Cincinnati, IA, and to this union, 2 children, Ricci and Paul, were born. Pam and Richard shared 25 years of marriage prior to his passing on April 8, 2011.

Pam worked at DeLong’s in Albia for several years before going to work as a waitress at the Main Street Café upon DeLong’s closure.

Pam is survived by her daughter, Ricci Harbour; 3 siblings, Stan (Barbara) Smith, Vanessa Smith-Campbell, and Annie Clark; and her nieces and nephews, Lance (Liz) Smith, Nathan (Brad) Smith, Janette Smith, Mary Clark (fiancé Luke Sarver), Jimmy Campbell, Cory Clark, and Daniel Campbell. She is also survived by several cousins and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; a son, Paul, in infancy; her father, Lee Smith; her mother, Mary Rowland; a brother, Danny and a sister, Janette.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia. A private family burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, IA, at a later date.
