Smith Claims First Heart Accolade
Oskaloosa–Jared Smith (Jr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, General Accounting) had a big weekend to close out the regular season and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Bowler of the Week Monday.
Smith won his first career weekly laurel after helping William Penn to a 23rd-place finish out of 78 squads at the Hoosier Classic.
The junior knocked down in 1,277 pins in six games for a 212.8 average. In placing 38th out of 539 individuals, Smith managed five games in the 200s with a top performance of 232.
For the year, Smith currently owns a 200.3 average in 35 games with a high game of 253.
The laurel is the third for WPU this year.
