Raymond “Brett” Robinson, 57, of St. Louis, Missouri, died October 11, 2022, at his home in St. Louis. He was born November 26, 1964, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Geraldine (Vance) Robinson.

Brett attended Fremont High School and graduated with the Class of 1983. During his high school years, he was a talented athlete, participating in basketball, baseball and running cross country. He then furthered his education at Northeast Missouri State University earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

After graduating college, he started work at the Defense Mapping Agency in 1988, now called the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in St. Louis, until retiring in 2014.

Brett was very adventurous and traveled all over the world and ran a marathon in St. Louis. He loved visiting Thailand and Las Vegas regularly and attended the Indy 500 for several years. Brett was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He loved spending time with his numerous friends and family and was loved by so many.

His family includes his siblings: Cindi (& Dan) Crigler of Defiance, MO, Rhonda (& Larry) Richardson of Bloomfield, IA, Julie (& Jerry Reese) Wickert of Baring, MO, Tim (& Michelle) Robinson of Decatur, IL, and Tom (& Cindy) Robinson of Nebraska City, NE. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews.

Brett was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Brooke Sampson.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel with pastor Matt Seldon officiating.
Burial will follow services at the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, starting at 2:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present to greet family and friends.
Memorials may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital or Cardinals Care Charitable Foundation.
