OMS XC Runs Tough At Knoxville

by Betsy Luck

The team was back in action at a hilly Knoxville course on Tuesday night. The team ran tough and were able to come away with some season best times. This was a challenging course and I was very proud of the effort and grit that the team showed in their races.

Ella Walter led the girls team with a 19th place finish and Sabrina Frost cracked the top 25 in a tough field. There were 106 girls in the field.

On the boys side 4 runners finished in the top 26. Lane Smith led the way with a 10th place finish, Micah VanEe placed 23rd, Joel Pogany at 24th and Blake Frame was 26th. There were 119 runners in the field.

Ella Walter moved up to 2nd on the Knoxville Top 10 list, Sabrina ran to 3rd, Kam sits at 5th and Lily and Whitney made it on at 9th and 10th!!

Sabrina is now 6th in the 1.5 mile race Top 10.

On the boys side, Lane Smith now sits at second on the Knoxville Top 10 with Micah, Joel and Aiden all now in the Top 10.

Lane, Micah and Joel are all now on the 1.5 mile Top 10 list.

The team will be back in action next Tuesday at Centerville.
