OWLS Lunch & Learn “Fishing Basics”

The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites adults of any age to the O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Souls) Lunch and Learn program on Friday, July 15th from 11:00 am -12:30pm at the Environmental Learning Center which is located at 2342 Hwy. 92., Oskaloosa, IA.
This month’s topic will be “Fishing Basics”. MCCB’s naturalist, Laura DeCook will share tips on what to take with you to feel prepared for going fishing. She will also cover safety tips and share a unique method of fishing – bowfishing! Participants will have an opportunity to “catch fish” on land with a fun casting game.
This program will begin at 11:00 am and don’t forget to bring your lunch and a friend!
