Indians Competed At North Central Conference Meet
by Rachel Brown
The Oskaloosa Boys Swim Team competed this week at the North Central Conference Meet @ Grinnell. We competed against 8 teams including Decorah, Vinton-Shellsburg, Grinnell, Williamsburg, Boone, NCMP, and Centerville.
As we get closer and closer to districts we have begun what we call taper. This is where we cut down on the yards we are swimming and bring up the intensity of the yards that we are doing. This is to prepare them for the best possible times at districts (the meet to qualify for state). With that being said we went in to this conference meet knowing we might not see our fastest times, but we had a goal of competing hard and staying as close to our times as possible. Here are some of the highlights from the meet:
Top 8 Swimmers who made it on the podium:
Medley Relay with a team of Keygan Roberts, Cooper Rupprecht, Landon Briggs, and Aaron Scholes placed 6th
