Kenneth Ray Hunt, age 60, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his home in Albia, IA. Kenny was born on April 30, 1961, to Donald and Joan (Heitman) Hunt at the Ottumwa Hospital.

Kenny grew up attending school in Blakesburg, IA, and graduated from the Blakesburg High School with the Class of 1979.

Kenny worked at Harvest Hand in Blakesburg and Bussey before becoming a truck driver for Foodliner and then at Falco in Fairfield.

Kenny loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and attending concerts. Kenny’s true joy in life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his fiancée, Susie Long; 2 sons, Michael & Timothy Cox; his mother, Joan Hunt; 4 sisters: Kathy Hunt, Kyla Hunt, Susan (& Roger) Oaks, and Carol (& Dan) Steffen; and 3 grandchildren: Harley Leeroy, Trenton, and Ryder. Kenny is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Donald; a brother, David Leroy Hunt; his grandparents; and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Kenny’s family present from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. to greet family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia.

Burial will follow services at the Blakesburg Cemetery in Blakesburg, IA.
