Linda Jean Williams, age 62, of Albia, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her home. Linda was born on September 7, 1959, to Glenn and Dorothy (Nupp) Williams at the Albia Hospital.

Linda grew up attending school in Albia, graduating from the Albia High School with the Class of 1979. While in high school, Linda obtained her CNA and began working at Oakwood Care Center in Albia until the opening of Monroe Care Center where she worked until 2016.

Linda enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching old movies. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casinos. She loved her dog, Chase, and her cat, Tink. Above all else, Linda loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Deeanna (Dustin) Smith; 2 grandchildren, Nathan and Logan; her brothers, Roger Sr. and Glenn Jr (Christopher Woltjer); a nephew, Roger Jr.; 3 nieces: Casarah, Jennifer, and Rebecca; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dorothy; a sister, Deanna; her stepmother, Ethel; and her grandparents, Robert and Margaret Nupp and Charlie and Cecil Williams.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia with Linda’s family present to greet family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Pleasant Corners Cemetery in Eddyville, IA, with Pastor Roger Henry officiating.

An open memorial has been established to the family.
