David Fisch Sr., 67 of Montezuma passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Unity Point Grinnell Regional Medical Center. David Walter Fisch Sr. was born on June 8, 1954 to Walter and Jennie Fisch at Grinnell, Iowa.

David was raised in the Montezuma area and graduated from Montezuma High School in 1972.

Dave married Brenda Bunn on March 7, 1975 at the Malcom Methodist Church. They became the parents of two children, Valerie and David Jr.

Dave worked for one year at the Phillips 66 station and then worked at his lifetime job, Montezuma Manufacturing retiring in 2014. He was an EMT with the Montezuma Fire Department.

Dave enjoyed family most of all and loved attending their ballgames and cheering them on. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding.

Dave is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Montezuma; his children, Valerie (Justin) Clayton of Cedar and David Jr. (Mitzi) Fisch of Sigourney; five grandchildren, Sterling, Kinley, Macy, Ava and Landon; three sisters, Arna (Frank) Kitzman, Marilyn (Dick) Wells and Pat Lickei; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Alice Jean Faust.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Community Hope Church in Montezuma.
Burial will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home with the family present from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Fire Department.
