Amanda M. Hunt, age 39, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the MHP Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was born on August 27, 1982, in Port Hueneme, California, the daughter of Harry and Bonnie (Noble) Stangeland.
Amanda attended Alta Loma High School in California and graduated with the Class of 2001.
On December 23, 2015, she was united in marriage to Richard Hunt Jr. in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Amanda worked at Disney World for a time while living in Florida. She also worked at several fast-food restaurants over the years. She enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia and spending time with her family.
Her family includes her husband, Richard Hunt Jr. of Oskaloosa; her mother, Bonnie Stangeland of Saline, MI; her father, Harry Stangeland of Eureka, CA; her children: Sarah Freeman, Tator Bradshaw, Crystal Hunt, Ember Hunt, Draven Hunt and Alex Hunt.
She is also survived by a sister, Sandra Stangeland-Molo and numerous aunts, uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
As was her wish, Amanda’s body has been cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
