George T. Hoke Jr., 76, of New Sharon, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.
George Thomas Hoke was born March 17, 1945, in Davenport, Iowa, to George and Reva (Davis) Hoke Sr.
George married Sandra Whipka on September 17, 1963. They had three sons: Tom, Tim, and Todd.
George worked and retired after 35 years at Alcoa Aluminum Factory.
He enjoyed reading his Bible, going to church, and singing old gospel hymns. He also enjoyed day trips and playing his guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra, and beloved dog, Molly, sons: Tom of Pocatello, ID, Tim (& Traci) of Papillion, NE, and Todd (& Dee) of Oskaloosa, IA; two grandsons: Joshua and Jerrod; a brother, Frank, and a sister, Pat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Hulda, and a brother, Lonnie.
As per his wishes, he was cremated, and there will be no services.
Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.
Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with George’s final arrangements.
