Deborah Sue Daughenbaugh, 67, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Deborah was born on Wednesday, August 19, 1953, the daughter of John “Jack” Richard and Georgia Lee (Mikles) Tovrea in Des Moines, Iowa.
Deborah attended school in Des Moines.
In 1970 she was united in marriage to James Edward Daughenbaugh Sr. in Cameron, Missouri. Deborah and James divorced years later.
Deborah was a truck driver for Ben Shinn for most of her life until an accident made her unable to continue working.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: John (& Dawn) Daughenbaugh, Jason Daughenbaugh and Angel McFarland; sixteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; her step-children: Darren, Danny, Angie, Donny, Ronny, Kari, Dustin and Steve; she is also survived by her sisters: Linda (& Tommy) Spencer and Carol Du Rossette; and a brother, Rick Tovrea.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, James Edward Daughenbaugh Jr.
As was Deborah’s wish, her body will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
