Dennis Workman, 69, of Delta died of primary myelofibrosis on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Dennis Ivan Workman was born August 22, 1951, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Robert and Barbara Stakland Workman.

Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Sigourney High School.

On May 3, 1980 Denny was united in marriage to Brenda Liles at the Methodist Church in Lacey, Iowa.

In 1974 he began driving semi part-time. Then in 1983 Denny became a full-time operator for Clemens Trucking. Throughout his career he drove semi in every state but, Alaska, Hawaii, and Maine. Dennis once said, “I never liked driving truck but it gave me the chance to meet a lot of good people.”

When he was not trucking Denny pursued his passions in life which where cattle and horse racing. But what he loved the most were Sunday dinners with his family and the joys of looking after his own farm.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Workman; three daughters; Brandi (& Erik) Wehr, Ashley (& Jason) Giesken and Codi (& Tanner) Voss; his brother, Don (& Kathy) Workman; a sister, Kathie Mason; and eleven grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Workman.

A memorial service will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the College Avenue Friends Church in Oskaloosa.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
Burial will be held privately in the Friends Cemetery at Oskaloosa.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Keokuk County Hospice or the College Avenue Friends Church.
