Susan “Sue” Williams, age 67, of Eddyville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at her home in Eddyville. She was born on December 12, 1952, the daughter of Leonard and Rosalind (Towler) Doll in Valley City, North Dakota.

Susan attended Valley City High School and graduated with the Class of 1970. She moved to Iowa in 1970 and attended Vennard College for a time.

Susan began working for Pella Corp in May of 1973. She retired in April of 2018 after nearly 45 years of employment.

She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoyed watching their football and basketball teams as well as the Minnesota Vikings football games. Susan enjoyed putting together puzzles and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and other friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (& Eric) Johnson of Eddyville; her granddaughters, Chelsee (& Dalton) Griffiths of Eddyville and Zoey Braden of Eddyville; two sisters, Mary Kubischta of San Diego, CA and Bonnie. She is also survived by a half-brother, Albert Jr.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Nancy and Silvia.

As was her wish, Susan’s body has been cremated.
Due to the restrictions put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the family to be determined at a later date.
