Deviska, Pennington Chosen as Players of the Month

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced the recipients of the November Player of the Month awards.

Sophomore men’s soccer player Kenedy Deviska (Pignon, Haiti, Wellness and Recreation) earned the Male award, while senior women’s basketball player Brenda Pennington (Hammond, Ind., Psychology) claimed the Female honor. The honor is the first for both individuals.

Deviska scored three goals in three games, including one versus Grand View in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals and two in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round contest against Hastings. The sophomore tallied 15 shots with six on goal.

Pennington averaged 11.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in six games. She also managed seven steals, while shooting 45.1% from the field (42.9% 3-PT). The senior knocked down 80.0% of her free throws as well.
