Second Award to Evans
Oskaloosa–Brittany Evans (Sr., Fernley, Nev., Business Management) carded a pair of 70s en route to being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.
Evans won her second laurel of the season (sixth career) after topping the field at the Heart Preview last Monday and Tuesday.
The senior opened the event with a 78 and then added a 76 to finish at 154, seven strokes ahead of the runner-up in the 20-player tournament. It was her third win of the fall.
In 11 rounds this season, Evans owns a 77.1 stroke average with a low of 71 twice. She placed in the top five in all five fall events and was in the 70s in eight rounds.
The award is the second of the year for WPU.
