Edgerton, Larson all-tournament team at home invitational
PELLA — Following a 3-0 run at the Central-Grinnell Invitational, Central College volleyball players Hana Edgerton (senior, middle hitter, Grundy Center) and Krissa Larson (sophomore, right side hitter, Waverly, Waverly-Shell Rock HS) were honored with selections to the the all-tournament team.
The Dutch won all three matches, starting with a 3-1 victory against MacMurray College (Ill.) on Friday. They had 3-0 victories against Alverno College (Wis.) and Concordia University – Chicago (Ill.) on Saturday.
Edgerton hit .360 (10-1-25) in Saturday’s sweeps over Alverno and Concordia-Chicago. She had three services and three total blocks against the Inferno.
Larson had 10 kills against the Highlanders, and 19 total for the weekend. She had at least one block in all three matches and a .318 hitting percentage (19-5-44).
Senior Erin Dilger (right side hitter, Tinley Park,Ill., Lincoln Way-North HS) was an all-tournament honoree at the Oregon Trail Classic while junior Kayleigh Fite (middle hitter, St. Louis, Mo., Trinity Catholic HS) and sophomore Landry Luhring (libero, Grundy Center) were also selected for Macalaster Invitational all-tournament team.
The Dutch are on the road at American Rivers Conference foe Buena Vista University for a 7 p.m. match Thursday in Storm Lake
