Shirley Robbins, 89, of Ottumwa, and formerly of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Ottumwa Hospice House in Ottumwa. She was born October 21, 1929, in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Tudor and Mildred Timberlake Arthur.

Her family includes her four granddaughters: Clarissa (& Todd) Reitzler of Grinnell, Nicole (& Bill) Louderback of Drakesville, Krystal (& Todd) Phillips of Batavia, and Shonette Ver Steegh of Eddyville; four great grandchildren; a daughter in law, Linda Selby of Batavia; and a sister, Pearl Attig of Iowa City.

Shirley was preceded in death by two husbands, Lloyd Selby and Dale Robbins; a son, Dennis Selby; a daughter, Linda Rhoten; and a sister, Francine Elliott.

A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Divide Cemetery near Albia, Iowa.
A procession will form at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa at 10:15 Thursday morning for those planning to attend the graveside service.
As was Shirley’s wish her body has been cremated. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Ottumwa Hospice House.
