8th Grade Girls Find Success At PC

Tuesday evening our 8th grade girls basketball team travelled to Pella Christian. The girls, knowing the score of last years game, had great confidence coming in. We came out in a strong full court man to man defense and were successful from the get go. The girls took care of the basketball, made their high percentage shots, and created many steal opportunities. Going into the second half the girls were up by as many as 24 points. The second half brought us a new Pella Christian team who made a majority of their shots and played better man to man defense resulting in a close 5 point game. Thanks to Faith DeRonde and our first double-double of the year, the ladies were able to hold off the comeback by PC and won by the score of 31-26. The girls battle Pella Christian at home this Thursday and our B squad will play Oskaloosa Christian the same night at Osky Christian. Go Indians!

Faith DeRonde: 12 points, 2 steals and 10 rebounds
Macie Krier: 2 points, 3 steals and 1 rebound
Addison Gerard: 2 points, 1 steal and 1 rebound
Gracee Flaherty: 10 points. 3 steals and 6 rebounds
Aubrey Blanco: 2 points and 12 rebounds
Addi Carter: 3 points, 1 steal and 1 rebound
