7th Grade Girls Win Over PC

The 7th grade girls A team played at Pella Christian on Tuesday night. The Indians came out slow and were down at the end of the 1st quarter 2-9. The rest of the way the Indians battled and were able to draw even at half time 10-10. The girls continued to compete their way to a contested 26-22 victory. Presley and Lucy were able to hit key free throws down the stretch to complete the victory. The whole team did a good job taking care of the basketball offensively and playing pressure defense.

Individual scorers: Maleah Walker 8, Presley Blommers 7, Lucy Roach 5, Kaia Cook 4

The 7th grade girls B team played the Oskaloosa Christian middle school team on Monday night. The Indians came out strong and did many good things. Defensively, they really worked hard to pressure the ball, unfortunately that led to foul trouble from the Indians. The Indians were able to battle but fell short by a score of 37-18.
