7th Grade Girls Enjoy Third Win In As Many Games

The 7th grade girls basketball team hosted Pella Christian Thursday night in a contest between two evenly matched teams. The offense started slowly only scoring 9 points against Pella Christian’s sagging man to man defense in the first half. However, the Indians pressure defense kept them in the game holding the Eagles to only 7 points during the same time period. The 2nd half started with more scoring happening while both teams slightly adjusting their offense. The Indians were able to build a 19-13 lead late in the 3rd quarter, but the Eagles answered by evening the score at 19 early in the 4th quarter. The Indians roared back to finsh the game on their own 9-2 run to come away with a 28-21 victory. The win was the Indians 3rd in a row and they improved to 6-4 on the season.
