7th Grade Girls Defeat Norwalk

The 7th Grade Volleyball team was in action on Tuesday night against Norwalk. All 3 teams would find success in a sweep of the Warriors winning 10 of 12 games.

The A-team would win all 3 of their games with scores of 25-5, 25-4, and 25-18 to stay undefeated. The girls would be dominate with their serves especially in the first two games. The team was led by Presley Blommers with 19 aces followed by Maleah Walker with 7 aces and 3 kills, Lucy Roach with 7 aces and 2 kills, Faith VanMersbergen with 4 aces and 2 kills, Kaia Cook with 1 kill and Kynedi Humphrey with 1 kill.

The B-team would put together their best game of the season also winning all 3 games with scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-12. The team was led by Adriana Ramos with 19 aces followed by Hailey Landers with 4 aces, Ally Nolan, Katelynn Marsh and Mallory Bihn all had 2 aces each. Bihn also had 1 kill.

The C/D team would start slow, but finished strong with winning 4 of 6 games with scores of 19-25, 25-12, 20-25, 25-20, 25-14, and 25-19. The team was led by Morgan Ford with 8 aces followed by Macy Braden and Andalyn Ide with 7 each, Mackenzie Whennen with 6, Ava Doty and Isabelle Larson with 5 aces each, Skylar Long-Meyer and Alley Bunnell with 3 aces each, Shakira Shillings with 2 and Lilly McKay and Delaney Crouse with 1 each.

The A and B team will travel to Grinnell this Saturday for a two games against the Tigers and South Tama. The whole team will be back in action next Tuesday at Newton.
