Glenn Edward Osborn, the son of John and Blanch (Christenson) Osborn, was born the seventh of eight children on September 15, 1925 near Malcom, Iowa.

Glenn attended country school near Montezuma and Brooklyn before attending Barnes City High School. In 1943, Glenn turned eighteen and was drafted with the United States Army, missing his senior year of high school. Glenn saw action in the Philippines and later served as part of the postwar occupational force in Japan, earning three Bronze Stars with a Bronze Arrowhead. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

On October 24, 1948, Glenn was united in marriage to Phyllis Davis at the Montezuma Methodist Church. To this union two sons were born, Kevin and Ken.

Glenn farmed in partnership with his Father until 1954 when the partnership was dissolved and he started farming on his own. Like most farmers, in addition to crops, he raised chickens, pigs, stock cows, and also had milk cows. Glenn and Phyllis farmed in the Grinnell and Montezuma areas before settling at their present location north of Montezuma.

Glenn belonged to the Blakely-Stevens American Legion Post #169 in Montezuma.

He enjoyed watching westerns and college basketball, eating ice cream, and his Norwegian Elk Hounds. Glenn was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and absolutely loved to spend time with his family.

Glenn is survived by his sons: Kevin (& Kathy) Osborn of Montezuma and Ken (& Mary) Osborn of Cedar Rapids; his four grandchildren: Abby (& Ron) Huckins of Coggon, Emily (& Steven) Bell of Central City, Andy (& Staci) Osborn of Withrop, and Eric Osborn of Montezuma; three great grandchildren: Brayden Bell, Ashlyn Huckins and Alexa Bell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
