OSKALOOSA – William Penn University is proud of the opportunities and partnerships it has formed with students and the Oskaloosa community over the years. This summer at the Southern Iowa Fair in Oskaloosa, the university plans to showcase some of the projects that have benefited not only the students of the university, but also the community around us.

William Penn University will have a booth at the Southern Iowa Fair in the Varied Industry Building until Saturday, July 23. During the fair, the university is hosting a bowling game that children in the community are welcome to play to highlight the Mahaska Bowl and Recreation Center. The booth will also use images to tell a story about the strong bond the college and community have built upon throughout the past year.

It is clear that as days go by, both William Penn and the community continue working together to reach new heights.

As always, William Penn Alumni are encouraged to stop by the booth at any time during the fair to sign the guestbook and receive a free gift.

“We’d love to hear your memories about time spent at William Penn and reminisce about years gone by,” said Hailey Brown, Communications/Event Coordinator for William Penn University.

Alumni, faculty, staff and students will also be ready to greet others at the booth in the Varied Industries Building during the Iowa State Fair August 11 through 21.

“We hope you’ll stop by to introduce yourself and pick up information about our programs and upcoming events. Alumni can also sign our guest book to receive another free gift,” Brown said.

The good times continue as William Penn University prepares for the arrival of students back on campus for the Fall Semester. As the new school year gets underway, more opportunities and partnerships with the community will continue to blossom as the bridge between students and the community continues to grow.
