In December, Tenco Industries was visited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF), Inc. and recently received notice from them that accreditation has been extended for three years through January 2020, which is the maximum accreditation allowable under CARF International regulations.

In a letter to Tenco Director of Operations, Codie Amason, CARF President/CEO Brian J. Boon stated “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence”.

Tenco services that were accredited by CARF included Community Employment Services (Employment Supports and Job Development); Community Integration; and Organizational Employment Services.

Cheryl Plank, Tenco’s Executive Director commented, “I applaud the team of staff, led by Codie Amason, as they did a remarkable job leading the effort to ensure we meet all the standards to receive another 3 year accreditation.  This truly emulates the dedication given on a daily basis to ensure safe, quality services are provided.”

The CARF International visitation team studied 959 standards that are applicable to the services Tenco Industries provides. Among the positive notes in the survey summary, Tenco’s personnel demonstrated the ability and commitment to support client with challenging issues and to assist them to become successful through implementation of the organization’s mission. Additionally noted was that Tenco’s personnel were highly qualified, enthusiastic and proud of the services they deliver.

The members of Tenco’s Board also received praise for their dedication to clients and commitment to share their talents, diverse skill sets, and areas of expertise. External referral sources called Tenco a “go to organization” who is responsive to clients’ needs, desires, and wants. Tenco was commended for developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with referral and funding sources; also stating that Tenco is highly committed, adaptable and has a “can-do attitude.”

Tenco is excited to share the news of this maximum accreditation as well as just few of the accolades that were listed in their review.
