Road closures continue in southeast Iowa
AMES, Iowa – Feb. 2, 2011 – 11 p.m. – Conditions on Iowa roadways continue to deteriorate, as the latest round of winter weather wallops a majority of the nation. The Iowa Department of Transportation is now reporting additional roads in Iowa as closed.

Iowa 63 – Mahaska County (Oskaloosa and New Sharon)
Iowa 83 – Pottawattamie and Cass counties (Walnut to Marne)

If not closed, nearly all roads in the eastern two-thirds of Iowa Iowa are being reported by the Iowa State Patrol as “travel not advised.” With high winds expected to continue, road conditions are expected to remain hazardous well into Wednesday morning.
