Randall Kane Kelley, age 63, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the MHP Serenity Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 4, 1959, in Central City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Pauline (Bowyer) Kelley.

Randall attended Oskaloosa High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. He later attended the University of Iowa.

On August 19, 1988, Randall was united in marriage to Joni Richards in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Randall and Joni raised three daughters, Brandis, Bailey and Madison.

Randall worked as an administrator at Country Life Heath Care in Oskaloosa for more than 30 years until retiring in 2015.

He was a member of St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ in Oskaloosa.

Randall had a love for cooking and enjoyed reading, watching movies, visiting with friends on his porch and trying out new activities.

His family includes his wife, Joni Kelley of Oskaloosa; his daughters: Brandis Baldwin of Ankeny, Bailey (& Kevin Korth) Kelley of Coralville and Madison (& Andrew) Kelley-Berg of Cockeysville, Maryland; 2 grandchildren, Kobe Watt and Roman Baldwin; his siblings: Robert (& Suzann) Kelley of Ames, Linda (& Jack) Schlater of Ames and Mark (& Linda) Kelley of Pella. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew.

Randall was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Brittany Kelley.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ in Oskaloosa with Reverend Melissa Sternhagen officiating.
As was Randall’s wish, his body has been cremated. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, starting at 1:00 p.m at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Randall’s family present from 5:00-7:00p.m. Thursday evening to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center or to the family to be designated towards an Indian Hills Community College Scholarship in Randall’s name.
