Oskaloosa JV golfers show improvement at Bos Landen
PELLA — The Oskaloosa junior varsity boys golf teams returned to Bos Landen this week and showed big improvement during their second time playing the course this season.
Osky JV1 finished with a team score of 182, showing much more consistency throughout the round. The Indians were led by John Coniglio with a 45. Colton Shaffer added a 44, Colin Johnson shot a 47, and Alex Fuller finished with a 46.
The team score was a noticeable improvement from earlier in the season, and coaches said it was good to see the work from practice beginning to show up on the course.
The JV2 team also continued to improve. Levi Snyder led the group with a 45. Owen Johnston added a 52, Tyler Edgar shot a 54, and Jace Armbruster finished with a 57.
Coaches said the players are starting to gain confidence and become more comfortable with course management and shot selection. While there are still mistakes to clean up, the improvement from the first trip to Bos Landen was easy to see.
