April 15th, 2026
Pella, Iowa — The Oskaloosa junior varsity boys golf team competed at Bos Landen Golf Club on Thursday night, with several players seeing the course for the first time.
For many on the roster, it was their first experience playing at the Pella course. The outing provided a learning opportunity, as players saw how small mistakes could impact their overall scores.
Oskaloosa finished the meet with a team score of 194.
Colin Johnson led the way for Oskaloosa, shooting a 43. His score tied him for first place overall, but he finished second after a cardback tiebreaker. Johnson’s performance marked another strong step forward as he continues to improve this season.
Alex Fuller followed with a 47, contributing to the team total.
The coaching staff noted that while the team performed well overall, the experience highlighted areas where improvement is needed. The players are expected to use what they learned as they prepare for their next round.
Oskaloosa will return to Bos Landen in a couple of weeks, where the team will look to build on this performance and measure their progress.
Full individual scores were not available at the time of publication.
