OSKALOOSA GIRLS GOLF FALLS TO PELLA, JV TEAM PICKS UP WIN

PELLA — It was a beautiful night for golf as the Oskaloosa girls team traveled to Pella Golf and Country Club to take on the Pella Lady Dutch.

The varsity team shot a 209 and fell to Pella, who finished with a 190 team score. While the final score did not go their way, the Osky girls turned in a steady round and continue to show signs of improvement.

The junior varsity team had a strong showing, picking up a win over Pella’s JV squad by a score of 234 to 243.

Leah Cohrt led Oskaloosa with a round of 48. Kamryn Maddy followed with a 51, and Rian Allman added a 53.

Coaches said the team is improving, even if the scores do not fully show it yet. With continued work, especially on consistency, the team expects scores to drop as the season moves forward.
