Oskaloosa Blanks North Mahaska 10-0 Behind Strong Pitching and a Big Second Inning

OSKALOOSA — Oskaloosa scored early, got strong pitching, and beat North Mahaska 10-0 on Tuesday.
Jake North led Oskaloosa with three hits in four at-bats. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.
The Indians took control with six runs in the second inning. North singled to drive in a run, and Peterson and Ashman each drew bases-loaded walks. Miller was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score another run.
Bonnet added a sacrifice fly, and Parks singled to score the final run of the inning.
Oskaloosa had already scored three runs in the first inning. Johnson drew a walk to bring in a run, Peterson singled to score another, and Ashman grounded out to drive in a run.
Parks started on the mound for Oskaloosa and earned the win. He pitched two and one-third innings, allowed no hits or runs, and walked one batter.
Jett Stock finished the game in relief. He pitched two and two-thirds scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out two and walking one.
Peterson drove in two runs for the Indians. Parks added two stolen bases as Oskaloosa continued to pressure North Mahaska.
