Norman Fullmer, 77, of Ottumwa died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his home in Ottumwa. He was born Tuesday, December 18, 1934 in Hedrick, Iowa the son of Erma Fullmer. He attended Hedrick High School prior to receiving his diploma from the American School of Correspondence in Lansing, Illinois with the class of 1956. Following graduation he went to work at Kroehler Furniture in Naperville, IL. On June 6, 1954 Norman was united in marriage to (Dorothy) Carol Anderson at Martinsburg, Iowa. He later worked at Lyon Metal in Montgomery, IL for 34 years as a supervisor retiring in 1996. Norman enjoyed woodworking, billiards, and antique cars.

His family includes his son: Dennis Fullmer of Dedham, Massachusetts; two daughters: Cynthia (Lindsay) Barich of Dedham, Massachusetts, and Angela (Daniel) Keller of Chariton, IA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister: Bette (Frank) Wilson of Ottumwa; a niece: Deena (Randy) Raber of West Des Moines; and a nephew: Mike Wilson of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a brother: Raymon Fullmer.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 after 2 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present at the funeral chapel from 4 – 6 p.m. to greet friends and relatives. As is his wish his body will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery at a later date. Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
