National Mainstreet Convention visits Osky

This past week, 20 delegates from seven different states visited Oskaloosa as a part of the National Mainstreet Convention. This year’s convention was held in Iowa. Delegates boarded a charter bus from Des Moines and headed on down here to Osky on Tuesday. While on their way down, delegates watched a video that showcased Oskaloosa as well as its heritage and history.

Delegates were also given a goodie bag that included various different brochures about Oskaloosa. They also received a copy of the Historic Walking Tour of the Downtown Area.  The Delegates were given a brief tour of the Musco facilities. After the tour, some delegates chose to take a portion of the downtown tour while others opted to do a little shopping before they had to move on to the next location.

After visiting the square area, the delegates went to their final stop. Their final stop was the Tassle Ridge Winery. Delegates were given a tour as well as a wine tasting at Iowa’s Largest Winery.
