An MCG Press Release

On Friday, February 7, MCG sponsored the Oskaloosa vs. Newton basketball games in Oskaloosa. Several of our Team members were present to visit with the crowd, cheer on their favorite team, and hand out awesome MCG merch. MCG – Mahaska Communication Group & Thunder Country KIIC donated a $14,000 check to Oskaloosa Schools for the Oskaloosa Video Production (OVP) program to operate Indians Network – running cameras, providing play-by-play, and directing programming for live event coverage of Oskaloosa Community School District activities. The OVP Program is one of the strongest Media Production programs in the state, with 44 students in the program each trimester, and with the dedication and hard work of Kim Gile! Since 2019, $58,000 has been donated to support the operation of Indians Network.

Another highlight of the night was the t-shirt launch! With the help of Jim Jager’s t-shirt launcher, over 40 shirts and baby onesies were launched and tossed out!
