Mahaska Health Welcomes Anna Throckmorton, ARNP

Anna Throckmorton, ARNP

MAHASKA COUNTY – Mahaska Health is excited to welcome Anna Throckmorton, ARNP as a new provider to the primary care team. For many, Throckmorton will be a familiar face as she has been a part of the Mahaska Health family for the past 15 years serving in various capacities, most recently as a registered nurse in the Birthing Center.

Anna, an Oskaloosa native, chose to further her education and become a nurse practitioner because she finds fulfillment in helping others with their individual health struggles and being the bridge towards an ultimate solution. “I enjoy working together with the patient as a team to decide what is truly best for the patient. Open communication and honesty is vital for the patient-provider relationship,” Throckmorton shared.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys spending time making memories with her family, whether that means barbequing in the backyard or taking a walk around Lake Keomah. “I want new patients to see that I’m a down-to-earth individual who is approachable and communicates well with all different personalities. I’m relatable and have a passion for serving others,” stated Throckmorton.

Anna has chosen to practice at Mahaska Health because it is where she began her career. “This is home,” she said. “I love the people and the culture here at Mahaska Health; it’s a perfect fit for me.”

Chief Nursing Officer Andrea Hagist shared, “It has been pretty incredible to watch Anna’s progression from Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Registered Nurse (RN) and now an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) all within our organization. We are thrilled Anna has chosen to continue her career with us at Mahaska Health.” Anna is now accepting new patients; call 641-672-3360 to make an appointment today.
