I am writing to express my deep appreciation to the incredible community of Mahaska County as I step down from my role as the Emergency Management and 911 Administrator after 16 rewarding years of service.

Working alongside the resilient and compassionate individuals that make up this community has been an honor. Together, we have faced challenges, overcome obstacles, and, most importantly, prioritized the safety and well-being of Mahaska County residents.

As I transition to new opportunities, I want to assure the community that they are in capable hands. I am delighted that Josh Stevens will be taking over the role of Emergency Management Coordinator. Josh has been an invaluable member of our team, demonstrating dedication, expertise, and a genuine commitment to the safety of Mahaska County.

I am confident that Josh will continue the excellent work we’ve accomplished together and bring fresh perspectives to enhance emergency management efforts further. His passion for community safety and proven leadership skills make him well-suited for the responsibilities ahead.

Mahaska County has a bright future, and I am grateful for the unwavering support and collaboration throughout my tenure. Thank you for allowing me to serve this remarkable community, and I look forward to witnessing the continued success under Josh Stevens’ capable leadership.

Sincerely,

Jamey A. Robinson

EMA/911 Administrator
