Oskaloosa. Julianna Joy Fash, 25, of Oskaloosa, died April 7, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. She was born May 5, 1987, the daughter of Charles and Debra Fash. She earned her diploma through home schooling and attended college at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. She worked at the Y.M.C.A. for the after school program and as a beauty consultant for Mary Kay. She enjoyed going to concerts, playing cards and games, doing puzzles, and watching television especially “The Office” and “I Love Lucy”. She also looked forward to playing bingo every year at the Southern Iowa Fair. Julianna enjoyed attending all high school events. She was a member of the Jubilee Family Church in Oskaloosa. She was very proud of the time she spent on the Student Advisory Committee with the University of Iowa Hospital. As a member of the committee she was able to have input on the room design in the new pediatric wing of the hospital. In 2006 she was blessed with her service dog and companion, Bang. Julianna had a love of life, she did not let anything stand in her way.

Her family includes her mother Debra Fash of Oskaloosa; her siblings, Josh Fash of Minot, North Dakota, Jodi (& Nate) Bell of Stuart, Florida, Jenni (& Greg) Routledge of Minot, North Dakota, Jonathan (& Kayla) Fash of Oskaloosa and Jordan Fash of Oskaloosa; three nieces, Charlese Bell, Keira Bell, and Daisia Fash; three nephews, Isaiah Bell, Elijah Bell, and Ashton Bell; aunts and uncles, Betty (& Dave) Phillips of Pella, Jackie (& Danny) Gilmore of Charlevoix, Michigan, and Barbara Daulton of Cortez, Colorado; and nine cousins, Zachary Phillips, Stephanie Phillips, Tim Phillips, Isaac Gilmore, Nate Gilmore, Rachel Gilmore, Sam Lykins, Adam Lykins, and Ben Lykins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father on April 5, 2003, and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.
Private family burial will be in the University Park Cemetery. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Wednesday morning after 10 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Wednesday evening to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Oskaloosa Christian Grade School.
