OTTUMWA, IA –Jace Glosser of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School was awarded a $2,000 Community 1st Credit Union continuing education scholarship this spring. The credit union will present $42,000 to 19 area high school seniors in May.

Glosser was ranked at the top of more than 100 applications submitted. A total of two $4,000 scholarships and 17 for $2,000 each were awarded.

The credit union has a long tradition of supporting local communities and education through its scholarship program. C1st partnered with Scholarship America this year to enhance the program’s administration and application process. Scholarship America is a non-profit organization that partners with businesses to provide education assistance and recognition programs.

Community 1st Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with more than $630 million in assets. The credit union, established in 1936, serves more than 58,000 members.
