Enid B. Fogle, 93, of Oskaloosa, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Oskaloosa Care Center.

Enid B. Fogle, the daughter of Edd and Mabel (Hatcher) Holub, was born, November 19, 1920, near What Cheer, IA. She was baptized at age 13 as a member of the Indianapolis Christian Church.

Enid graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1938. In June of 1940 Enid was united in marriage to Attison Fogle in the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, IA. Enid and Attison farmed for many years. Their daughter, Linda, arrived in 1949.

Enid enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, cooking, raising chickens from baby chicks, keeping the books for the family farm, etc.

Enid was a member of the Oskaloosa First Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for several years when her daughter was young. She was active in the Ruth Group in later years. She was a member and served as an officer of the Pythian Sisters of Rose Hill until she moved into the Maple Ridge Assisted Living Facility. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau, and a member and treasurer of the W.C.T.U. for many years.

In 1996 Enid and Attison retired and moved to Oskaloosa. From 2009 through 2013 Enid enjoyed living in Maple Ridge. In early January she moved to the Oskaloosa Care Center.

Enid is survived by her daughter, Linda Cook and her husband Bob of Landenberg, PA; several nieces and nephews in Iowa and Pennsylvania; and several cousins in the Oskaloosa area.

In addition to her parents, Enid was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Attison, who passed away in 1998; an infant brother; a sister, Marie Grace of Doylestown, PA, who died one day after Enid on February 24, 2014; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Garland Van Arkle-Langkamp Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow the funeral at Indianapolis Cemetery near What Cheer.
Visitation will begin at noon on Friday and the family will be present from 4-6 p.m., Friday evening.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church, Oskaloosa, Iowa.
