David Walker, 55, of Erie, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. David Sean Walker, son of David Lee and Connie Sue (King) Walker, was born December 3, 1967, in Edmonds, Washington.

David’s family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma, when David was a youngster, and he received his education there and graduated from high school in 1986. He furthered his education at Pioneer Vocational Technical School and studied auto mechanics.

David worked at a variety of jobs, including in the HVAC industry. His last employment was with The Home Store as a granite craftsman, creating and installing custom countertops. He was forced to retire in 2016 due to health concerns.

David married Danette Renee Harp on September 14, 1996, in Grove, Oklahoma.

David enjoyed using his automotive skills for friends and family. He loved his dogs, especially “Dink”. After retiring, David enjoyed traveling with Danette in her career as a traveling nurse.

His family includes his wife, Danette; sons: Adam (& Jennifer) Byerly of Tulsa, OK, and Cody Harrison of Harrisburg, PA; step-sons: Luke (& Leslee) Harp of Topeka, Kansas, and Matthew (& Sarah) Harp of Nebraska; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Connie King of Ponca City, OK: three brothers: Jeff Robinson of Wisconsin, Vince (& Lynette) Walker of Ponca City, OK, and Trevor Walker of Ponca City, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father.

As was his wish, David’s Body has been cremated, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory is handling David’s final arrangements.
