Crisis Intervention Services To Host Sexual Assault Response and Investigation Training
Oskaloosa, IA – Crisis Intervention Services in partnership with the Oskaloosa Police Department, Mahaska County Emergency Management and Office of the Attorney General Crime Victim’s Assistance Division will be hosting a Sexual Assault Response and Investigation Training. There will be two sessions that will take place January 22 at 610 G Ave West in Oskaloosa from 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm.
This training is free of charge and is targeted to those responding to and investigating sexual assault crimes. Topics will include, how to approach victims in a trauma-informed way so as not to cause further harm, the importance of writing reports to portray what the victim went through before, during, and after the assault and explanation of different programs that are available to victims of crime and how they can access those services.
