Charles Allen Lynch, “Charlie,” age 74, of Oskaloosa, passed away March 24, 2024, at his home in Oskaloosa. Charlie was born August 17, 1949, in Mahaska County, son of Lawrence and Lois (Atherton) Lynch.
Charles graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1967.
On June 26, 1968, he was united in marriage to Marietta Louise Brower.
After graduation, he worked at multiple factories around Oskaloosa and surrounding communities (hated them all). At the age of 23, he started his own business, Lynch Auto. He continued with this passion until the age of 60. Then he started buying rental properties and continued this up until his passing.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters: Stacie Lynch (Shawn Swank), Beckie (Randy) Sams, and Heather Lynch; eight grandkids; eight great-grandkids; a sister, Barbara Myers of Ottumwa, IA; three brothers: John (Mary) Lynch Sr., of Oskaloosa, Albert Lynch Rangel of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Tim Lynch of Pella, IA; and many nieces, a nephew, and fur babies.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law.
His wishes were to be cremated, and no services are planned.
