Memorials to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Myron James Breese was born October 9, 1936 at home near Germantown, Iowa to Ralph and Alma Breese. He graduated from Melcher High School in 1956. He was proud to have served in the United States Army for two years. Myron was married to Joan Borchert on July 6, 1962 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Germantown. They were blessed with a son Richard.

Myron retired from Firestone after 26 years and then worked for the Hy-Vee Distribution Center as a courier for 10 years. He loved the outdoors, often going mushroom hunting and always enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed sports and watching football.

There were always neighborhood children gathered around Myron, either knocking on the door to see Myron and Joan or just playing in the yard and may be getting a few pieces of candy. Myron was a simple, family man; kind, honest and hardworking. He loved his family and will be remembered as a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Myron is survived by his wife Joan of Knoxville; son Richard (Gina) Breese of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren: Aaron Seddon, Brandon Galvin, Justin Kay, and Alicia Elifritz; siblings: Colleen Benway, Betty Grife, Marvin (Coleen) Breese, and Leona (Daryl) Ripperger; and many nieces and nephews.
