MHP New Year’s Baby 2011 –Kayla Lynn Carey is the first baby born at Mahaska Health Partnership in 2011. Kayla was delivered by Dr. Anne Whitis on Jan. 2 at 10:04 am, weighing in at 7 lbs, 3.5 oz. and 19 inches long. Her parents are Krystal Porter and Derrick Carey of Oskaloosa. She joins three brothers, Gage, 7; Caleb, 5; and Skyler, 2. Her grandmothers are Tresea Rohrer of Eddyville and Diane Barrios of Oskaloosa. For having MHP’s New Year’s Baby, Kalya’s parents received a basket of presents from the MHP Birthing Center and Family Medical Center physicians. Shown with the Kayla are Mom Krystal, Delivering Physician Dr. Anne Whitis and Dad Derrick. Congratulations!
