Oskaloosa, Iowa (June 21st, 2017) – Another beautiful night of racing action at the Southern Iowa Speedway for Yaw’s Auto Salvage Night, 51 cars signed in the pit area. The Kids got to have some fun at Intermission as they got to take a little field trip through the pit area to see the drivers and crews putting the finishing touches on the race cars for the features. Hobby Stocks still had the $300 bounty on the line, if they can beat Shannon Anderson, thanks to Edel Lawn Service, Cindy Drost and Independent Auto of Marshalltown.

Trent Orwig was the only first time winner by grabbing the IMCA Sport Compacts. Curtis VanDerWal (Sport Mods), Cayden Carter (Stock Cars), Shannon Anderson (Hobby Stocks) and Scott Dickey (Modifieds).

First feature of the night was the 12 lap Kelli Steli State Farm IMCA Sport Compacts feature. Orwig went on to take his first win of the season at the monster. Moody finished second ahead of Austin Reuman, Bryan Claussen and Ashley Reuman.

Austin Paul started inside row two but by the end of lap one in the Oskaloosa True Value IMCA Sport Mods 16 lap feature event, Paul was the leader. Paul slipped a bit allowing Curtis VanDerWal, who started fifth, to take the top spot away on lap three. Thrasher started to look comfortable but Cayden Carter worked his way from the fifth place starting spot to second. Carter grabbed the top spot away from Thrasher on lap eight and cruised on to take his second win in the Stock Cars at Osky. Thrasher finished second, Nathan Wood was third, Dustin Griffiths passed Mike Hughes on the last lap to claim fourth with Hughes in fifth.

Graham and the field saw the caution out just after lap two scored in the books when Dave Seddon spun exiting turn four collecting Nick Ulin and Matt Smith.
