Lady Dutch Cruise past Indians 76-25

The Pella Lady Dutch have been ranked as high as #1 this year and Oskaloosa found out why again Tuesday night in a loss. Pella had 3 players in double figures and 11 players scored in the game. The #4 ranked Lady Dutch jumped on Oskaloosa early and built a 27-2 lead after one quarter. The Dutch continued to pour it on in the 2nd quarter and led 42-6 at halftime. Oskaloosa played better in the 3rd quarter, scoring 10 points in the quarter. Pella reserves would score 19 points in the 4th against Oskaloosa’s 11 to make the final score 76-25.

Alexis Westercamp led the Indians again, with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Marleigh Denberger was next in line, with 9 points. Lindsey Holmberg pulled down 5 rebounds, while Mary Nelson and Summer Smith each scored 2 points. The Indians drop to 2-18 overall and 0-13 in conference play. Pella improves to 16-4 overall and 10-3 in the conference. The Indians end their season on Friday at home against the top team in the state, #1 ranked 5A Indianola. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:15pm.
