MAHASKA COUNTY – The Mahaska Health Partnership Board of Trustees is offering scholarships to benefit local graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a career in a health-related field.

The MHP Board of Trustees will choose three students who will each be awarded $500 scholarships. Applicants must be graduating seniors from North Mahaska, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont or Oskaloosa schools. Individuals must be accepted to an accredited college and be pursuing a career in a health-related field. Applications must be received by April 6 to be considered for the scholarship.

While the final decision of all scholarship winners is not based solely on financial need, it may be a determining factor if candidates are equal in other qualifications. Letters of recommendation must accompany each application and personal interviews may be requested for further clarification.

Applications are available through local schools or can be picked up on the MHP campus at entrances #1 and #4. Applicants may also email kcarter@mahaskahealth.org for an application. For more information on additional scholarship opportunities through MHP, please contact your high school guidance counselor.
