Oskaloosa – A tradition which was made popular by the Y’s Men’s Club in Oskaloosa is continuing even though the club is no longer active: selling Christmas Trees. The Mahaska County is carrying on the tradition of this annual fundraiser, and the tree lot is being prepared which will open the day after Thanksgiving.

The Y’s Christmas tree lot will again be located in Mahaska Drug Parking Lot. Hours of operation will be Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday through Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. It is being run by Y volunteers, and trees will be sold until they’re gone.

Proceeds from this annual event will go to support YMCA programming efforts.

For more information about this annual fundraiser or how you can be involved, please contact YMCA Director David Phelps at 641.67.8411 or by email, david.phelps@mahaskaymca.org.
