Class 3A Wrestlers on to State!

Eight teams from Class 3A District 4 met in Mount Pleasant Saturday to determine the top 2 seeded wrestlers from each weight class which will move on to the State contest at Wells Fargo Arena this week. Oskaloosa brought 10 wrestlers to competition and will advance 5 to Thursday’s first round.
Senior Skylar DeJong improved his record to 41-1 with a 5-0 win over Keokuk’s Camiran Sadeghi for the championship at 126. DeJong is ranked 2nd in the state at 126. KIIC will have all the local 3A action live in high fidelity Thursday from Des Moines on 96.7FM or the web stream at www.kiicradio.com
