BP Robbery Suspect Arrested

NEW INFORMATION:

On Monday, January 05, 2015, the Ottumwa Police Department arrested Joshua Todd Ware, age 25, on his outstanding arrest warrants for Robbery 2nd Degree, a Class “C” Felony and Lottery Fraud, a Class “D” Felony.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, December 22nd, 2014, at approximately 2:30 a.m., when a suspect robbed the attendant at the Albia Road Bp gas station. A weapon was displayed during the Robbery but the victim was not injured.

Ware was arrested after a citizen at the Quincy Place Mall recognized Ware from a previously released photograph. Ottumwa Police responded to the mall and subsequently took Ware into custody.

“A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
